“…in your light we see light” (Psalm 36:9)
The words for this week’s song come from an ancient Greek hymn written in the late 3rd or early 4th century A.D. Particularly suited to evening services, it’s the earliest known extra-biblical hymn still in use today. This setting is suitable for solo, choral, or antiphonal arrangements.

Nice to hear this recorded by the composer! This was a standard at Second City’s vespers service last year. Easy for a small group to pick up. Sometimes we strummed the chords with a guitar and that helped us more timid sight readers.
Thanks, Jed! Glad to hear you found this setting useful – I could imagine it sounding great with guitar. What other songs/hymns/texts were staples of Second City’s vesper services last year?
